Take a scenic walk in the Kogel Bay area – Saturday, 24th August 2013

You probably know Kogel bay as one of the most beautiful beaches in our area. And of course it is well known as a surfers paradise.

However, Kogel bay has a lot more to offer the person who enjoys the company of the outdoors. Just across from the beach and the surf is a world where you’ll discover some of the finest mountain fynbos.

To add to that, there are many species of birds to be found if you have the time to sit quietly and wait. There are a few smaller animals to be spotted, however, these are shy. You might be lucky to come across a Cape leopard, klipspringer and grysbok. Baboons, dassies and hares are fairly common. Finally, you will be surrounded by the most spectacular views with the isolated and remarkably unspoilt, craggy mountains on one side and the deep blue False bay on the other.

Andreas Groenewald (a professional field guide) will be your guide for the day. He will be sharing his extensive knowledge of the area. Don’t miss out on this opportunity.
